The 2009 R.H. King Reunion organizing committe.  Thanks for a job well done.

 I took some random shots from the event on the 17th. I’ve uploaded them to Facebook R.H. King Reunion page – click the Facebook link to the right if you have a Facebook account. Others are also posting their pictures to this group.

Over 400 R.H. King alums, staff, faculty and guests showed up and made the event a rousing success.   Thank you to everyone who came out to the Reunion last night at Annadale and made the event the fun-filled occassion it was.

Here is a picture of some of the organization committee earlier in the day setting up the event.

Note: you will not be receiving a ticket in the mail. If you registered online simply show up and check in.

 Location

Annadale Golf & Curling Club is located on Church St. South in Ajax. Its south of Kingston Rd on the east side of the road. Directions with a map can be found on the Annadale Golf Club & Country club website here.

 When

Doors open at 4pm and close at 2am. This is an informal event and you are free to come and go as you please during this time. There will be a short speech in there somewhere.

 As you arrive you will be given a name tag, souvenir, a food coupon and a coupon to have your picture taken with friends. Your name will also automatically be entered into the draw for one of the many exciting door prizes. Head in, grab a hors d’oeuvre and a drink and start catching up with your old chums.

 Dress Code

Clothes optional. Just kidding. There’s no dress code. Wear what you want. Jeans are prefectly acceptable. So’s your prom dress if you can still fit into it.

 Food & Drink

 The chef at Annadale is a King grad (’82). Carlos will be taking good care of all alumni & guests.

 Hot & cold hors d’oeuvres will be available between 4 & 6pm.  Snacks (chips & pretzels, etc) will be available all evening.

 A Baron of Beef basket will be available from 6pm in the smaller room. This includes beef on a bun, salad & roasted potatoes. Special meals for those who made dietary requests at registration will be available also.

 Sandwiches, sweets, coffee & tea will be served around 11pm in the main room.

 The bar is a cash bar.

 What is there to do?

 Music
John Pierrepont spent his summer putting together all our favourite tunes from those days. They will be playing all evening. While there is no formal dance, there is a dance floor!

 Media Presentation
Jim Wilson has done a fabulous job with the presentation. It’s a serious trip down memory lane! It will be available for download post reunion. We will send you an email next week on how to get it or you can back on this site for details.

 Golf
We did not get enough interest for a tournament. Those interested in playing golf need to book directly with and pay Annandale. Please make sure you mention the reunion to get the free cart and the reduced price. If the weather is like it is today, bring your mittens and dress warm! 

 Other stuff

Hotel
Lot’s of folks have been booking into the Ajax Super 8 Hotel. Ask for the reunion rate. http://www.ajaxsuper8.com/.  Don’t start having too much fun there and forget to come over to Annandale!

Shuttle
We will have a free shuttle that will take you to/from local areas. (i.e. The hotel, the Go Train, etc.) One will be at the hotel starting at 4 pm.

 Contact List
You will be emailed the contact list after the reunion. Note that only those who agreed when they registered to make their name and email address available will be on the list.  We will have paper/pens available at the reunion if you want to exchange contact info privately.  If you want to add your name to the contact list, please go in and amend your registration.

 Need to make a change on your registration?  (i.e. Need to make a dietary request, volunteer, add your year, become a contact, add a guest?) No problem.  Log back into www.regonline.ca/kingreunion.  You just need your email address and the password you created. If you can’t remember your password, the system will send it to you.
